A home away from home, you can trust your pups are being carefully looked after in our professional daycare centre with our Qualified Dog Behaviourist.
Our specially designed facility has been in development since April '21 and provides the highest standard of Natural Canine Enrichment you'll find here in Christchurch. The park contains natural play equipment, various ground surfaces, climbing equipment, sensory gardens, paddling pools, obstacle courses, brain games, a full-sized pool*, a sandpit*, rest areas, a doggy TV and so much more! Dogs are rotated through five different enrichment areas throughout the day, as well as dedicated rest and cuddle times, providing the enrichment that nature designed for them.
Our Bark Rangers (staff) are professionally trained & Qualified in Canine Behaviour to create a safe and fun environment for all! We require all our staff to undergo First Aid training and ongoing training in Canine Behaviour, at ECC the learning never stops!
All dogs (including puppies) must be fully vaccinated before attending daycare

Professionally trained
Our staff are trained in canine body language, behaviour and psychology to ensure your dog will always be happy and comfortable at daycare. Our training methods are based on the most recent scientific research. Our staff are always learning!
Force Free training
All training at ECC is LIMA (least intrusive, minimally aversive), force free and positive training methods. We never want your dog in a situation they feel stress, anxiety, fear or pain
Puppy Only Daycare Areas
All puppies under 5 months of age have their daycare play group in our specially designed puppy socialization area. Puppies get to play and learn with others in similar ages, learn necessary handling, desensitization, toilet training, and important social skills with both humans and other dogs.
Structured days
A day in daycare includes dedicated play, train, enrichment, and nap times. It is important to provide dogs with controlled mental stimulation, appropriate socialization and play time and nap & relax times. We even have a specially designed sensory garden for your dogs to engage in their sniffing needs
Indoor outdoor freedom
All dogs will enjoy the freedom of a snuggly indoor area and out large outdoor area during their visit.
Safe environment
All dogs must go through our assessment process with one of our Senior Canine Pawfficers to ensure suitability for daycare. You can be confident your dog will be in a safe and stress free environment
Kennel free environment
Our daycare is a completely kennel free environment. Structured days include nap time where the lights are dimmed, calming music on, lots of extra blankets and beds are bought out. Staff are trained in aiding dogs to settle and relax they also get lots of cuddles and pats. Individual (crated) rest time can be requested when you book

For enhanced safety for our dogs and staff, we aim to have our staff to dog ratio at 1 staff to 8 dogs
Group by sizes
Our daycare groups are created each day based on size and personality of each dog, dogs are split into up to 6 groups of around 8-10 dogs
